Century 21 office honored

FORT MILL -- Century 21 First Choice was recently honored with the prestigious 2007 Quality Service Pinnacle Award, Centurion Office Award for 2007 and the 2007 President's Award by Century 21 LLC.

The Quality Service Pinnacle Award is based on responses to the Century 21 Quality Service Survey. Recipients of the annual award must receive average scores of 95 percent or better over a two-year period.

"We always strive to provide our customers with the best possible service, and it is nice that they've taken the time to recognize our efforts," said owner and president Peter Hall.

The Centurion Award is presented offices that achieve or surpass sales production of $1,749,000 or 400 closed transaction sides within a calendar year.

The President's Award is bestowed to the office that earns the Centurion award and Quality Service Pinnacle award in the same calendar year. Only a small percentage of offices in the United States receive this award each year. "We wouldn't have been able to win these awards without the many wonderful customers who have entrusted us to accomplish key milestones in their lives through the sale or purchase of a home," Hall said.

River Hills club renovations nearly complete

LAKE WYLIE -- Dean White, board president at River Hills Country Club, announces the club has made significant changes at the facility.

"While River Hills Country Club has always been one of the premier facilities in the area, these new additions will provide our members with amenities that are second to none in both North and South Carolina," he said.

Renowned architect Kris Spence redesigned and rebuilt the bunkers using the same white sand found at Augusta National. Extensive renovations were made at the driving range, expanding the tee area from 10,000 square feet to 25,000 square feet. New irrigation was installed, and the area was laser leveled and sodded with Champion Bermuda grass.

The clubhouse front entrance was rebuilt, the interior and exterior painted, new hardwood floors and carpet laid, and there's new furniture in the lobby. Also, there's a new stone fireplace in the lounge and new patio overlooking the driving range.

A new clay tennis court has been added, and restrooms at the swimming pool are being renovated. New pool furniture should arrive by summer.

In addition to the club renovations, a new 1,200-square-foot fitness center will celebrate a grand opening in late spring or early summer with eight cardio machines, 10 strength and resistance equipment pieces, free weights and other exercise options.
