‘Miracle on Hudson’ survivor from Tega Cay to speak Aug. 13
FORT MILL --
The New Southern Women Club, a social and civic organization, will hold its next luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Aug. 13 at St. John’s United Methodist Church Hall, Tom Hall Street.
Guest speaker will be Kristy Spears of Tega Cay and Bank of America employee. She was on US Airways Flight 1549 when it crash-landed in the Hudson River. She also will sign copies of the book “Miracle on the Hudson” that members and guests bring to the luncheon. The authors related many of the passengers first-hand accounts of the event, including Spears’.
A tapas-style luncheon buffet will be served. Cost for members and guests is $10, all inclusive.
