The American Red Cross Upper Palmetto Chapter has scheduled the following drives:

3-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, First United Methodist Church Clover, 124 Bethel St., Clover

2:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, St. John’s United Methodist Church, 130 Tom Hall St., Fort Mill

Donors with all blood types are needed, but especially those with type O negative are needed.“There is a critical need for blood donors now,” said Joyce H. Brendel, chief executive officer for the Carolinas Blood Services Region of the Red Cross. “This summer we have had a particularly difficult time recruiting enough blood donors to meet the requirements of our community’s hospitals and the patients they serve.”
