Flash photo
Basic Flash Photography, 1:30-4 p.m. Nov. 5, Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, 6500 S. New Hope Road, Belmont. Covers the basics of flash photography using a single small flash, with emphasis on using an optional flash that fits on the camera’s hot shoe. Both on-camera flash and off-camera flash will be discussed. The class will not cover large studio-type flash photography. Meadowood Stitched: Meadow Plants on Fabric Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Nov. 5, Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, 6500 S. New Hope Road, Belmont. Taught by Nancy G. Cook. Using color fast inks and hand-cut stencils, participants will create nature-inspired fiber art that combines botanical illustration, water color, pastels, quilting and surface embroidery. Make mosaic
