Man, 22, dies in Clover crash
CLOVER --
A 22-year-old man was killed in a York County crash Tuesday night.
Ricky Clinton of Clover died of injuries sustained in the collision, said York County Coroner Sabrina Gast.
The wreck occurred about 6:35 p.m. at U.S. 321 and North Meadow Road, about 2 miles south of Clover, said Lance Cpl. Billy Elder.
Clinton was driving a 2002 Mazda truck south on the highway when he hit the rear of a 1989 Ford pickup. The Ford was disabled in the roadway.
Clinton was taken to Piedmont Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. He was not wearing a seat belt.
The collision is still under investigation.
