Gene for the second week in a row won the Thursday Night Tournament Trail April 19 on Lake Wylie.
He brought in the winning bag of 16.71 lbs.
Eric Brink and Tim Sabella finished second with a weight of 12.72 lbs., followed by Hunter Hicks and David Mitchell with 12.71 lbs. Fourth went to Hank Cherry and Brandon Williams with 12.69.
“The evening started out very cloudy and looking like rain and at weigh-in, the sky was clear and the stars shining,” event co-organizer Erwin Gaston said. “We had a good turn out with 53 boats showing up to give it their all for a couple hours.”
Series sponsors are A-1 Adams Bail Bond Agency, Lake Wylie Bait and Tackle, Shakey Head.Com, Jak’s Custom Baits, Koyote Fishing Tackle, Tru South Lures and The Great Outdoors.
The tournament is held Thursday nights at Buster Boyd Access Area.
