LAKE WYLIE --
With 43 boats, 21 weighed in April 26 during the Thursday Night Tournament Trail that runs every week through Aug. 30 at Buster Boyd Access Area.
“Well, it wanted to rain, tried its best to rain and lighting danced in the background, but it turned out to be a good night on the water,” said event co-organizer Erwin Gaston. “The fishing is still tough this year with a few exceptions.”
Todd Garner and Shane Hartman came away with the win with 16.25 pounds.
Matt Queen and Adam Filmore finished second with 13.76 pounds, followed by Gene Webster with 12.56 pounds.
The big fish of the night was reeled in by Mark and Anthony Leech, at 4.89 pounds.
The tournament is sponsored by A-1 Adams Bail Bond Agency, Lake Wylie Bait and Tackle, Shakey Head.Com, Jak’s Custom Baits, Koyote Fishing Tackle, Tru South Lures and The Great Outdoors.
