Make some noise about air traffic
Now we know why the aircraft noise is so hideously constant over Lake Wylie. The flight paths over our community are completely covered with low-flying air traffic. We get most of the flyovers by far!
When there are no planes overhead (very seldom), Lake Wylie is so peaceful. I strongly urge our community to call the airport and voice your concern or visit FairAirCharlotte.com.
When we moved to the lake in 2008, this was not a problem. Since the FAA started using RNAV in 2010, Lake Wylie unfairly gets the brunt of the flights.
The more calls, the more likely beneficial changes will come our way.

Thanks, distracted driver
To the woman driving a blue Honda Accord with a cigarette in one hand, cell phone buttons blazing in the other, in the rain Sunday, June 17, at 6 p.m. on Highway 274 south, near the DMV: Thank you for not swerving and hitting my car.
