John Rinehart Sr. to announce petition drive success for York County Council candidacy
LAKE WYLIE --
Local businessman John Rinehart Sr. will announce the success of his petition drive at noon Friday, July 6, at Courtney’s BBQ, 1166 S.C. 55 E., Clover.
Rinehart is planning to run against incumbent Bruce Henderson for York County Council District 2 as a petition candidate in the November general election.
“We have worked tirelessly to collect these signatures and will announce the final results this Friday,” he said.
Rinehart is founder and chairman of the Board of Rinehart Realty Corp. He serves as a member of the Rock Hill Economic Development Board, a member of the Board of Trustees for Westminster Towers, a Trustee and active deacon at First Baptist Church Rock Hill, and the Winthrop University Community Advisory Board.
York County Regional Chamber of Commerce in 2010 recognized Rinehart with the “Lifetime Business Achievement Award."
Rinehart is a lifelong York County resident. He lives on Lake Wylie with wife, Geri, of 42 years. They have two children and seven grandchildren.
