LAKE WYLIE --
The surprise polygraph testing didn’t impact anglers during the July 19 Thursday Night Tournament Trail on Lake Wylie.
“No problem, there were no shocking results,” said event co-organizer Erwin Gaston. .”What is shocking is the fishing.”
The fishing is tough right now, Gaston said.
Still Brian Huskins and David Winters were able to locate five fish that weighed in at 11.74 pounds for the win in a field of 35 boats.
Second went to Mike Perry with a weight of 10.46 pounds.
Hunter Hicks and David Mitchell reeled in the big fish at 5.07 pounds.
Anglers are encouraged to join the tournament with the next event Thursday, July 26, at Buster Boyd Access Area. For information, lwtt.org.
Trail sponsors are Dicks Sporting Goods, A-1 Adams Bail Bond Agency, Lake Wylie Bait and Tackle, Shakey Head.Com, Jak's Custom Baits, Koyote Fishing Tackle, Tru South Lures and The Great Outdoors.
