Boat show and sale opens Friday

The 2012 Carolina Fall Boat Show & Sale will be Friday-Sunday, Aug. 17-19, at the N.C. State Fairgrounds’ Jim Graham Building, Raleigh.

Hours are noon-8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.

Parking is free. Admission – good for all three days with return pass – costs $6 for adults, free for children 12 and younger with adult.

Marine group meeting Aug. 27

The Lake Wylie Marine Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Aug. 27 at First Presbyterian Church, 102 S. Central Ave., Belmont.

Catfish Club sets tourney slate

The Catwaba Catfish Club announces nine events in its 1012-13 tournaments schedule, including two regular season and one championship event on Lake Wylie. Dates and location are as follows:

• Sept. 15, Lake Wateree, Lake Wateree State Park

• Oct. 6, Fishing Creek Reservoir, Hwy. 21 Access

• Nov. 3, Lake Wylie, Buster Boyd Access Area

• Dec. 8, Lake Wateree, Lake Wateree State Park

• Jan. 5, 2013, Lake Wylie, Buster Boyd Access Area

• Feb. 2, 2013, Lake Wateree, Lake Wateree State Park

• March 2, 2013, Fishing Creek Reservoir, Hwy. 21 Access

• April 13, 2013, Lake Monticello, Hwy. 99 Access

• Championship Event for Catawba Catfish Club, May 4-5, 2013, Lake Wylie, Ebenezer Park
