CLOVER --
The Greater Clover Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for Amata Salon, a Paul Mitchell signature salon.
Salon owner Amy Moses came up with the name by a Google search of her name “Amy,” meaning “beloved” which originated as a nickname from Amata, a name of Latin mythology.
Amata Salon is at 110-A S. Main St., Clover. Its regular operating hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Appointments are preferred, but walk-in customers will be accepted upon availability.
Owner Amy Moses has been doing hair for 17 years and grew up in the salon industry. She has worked under industry leaders Patrick Cameron, Martin Parsons, Robert Cromeans and Angus Mitchell, and has obtained her instructor’s license for cosmetology.
Stylists are Ashley Parham, a native of Clover, who also has a family background in the salon industry; and Shannon Goulet, who first began in the industry in 1998, as a makeup artist.
To make an appointment with Amy Moses, call 704-913-0154; Ashley Parham, 803-487-2351; and Shannon Goulet, 803-230-3355.
