Grateful for Lake Wylie Library
Every week, we see the multiple things the Lake Wylie Library has to offer, but I don’t remember seeing anyone comment on how wonderful a resource this is.
I love to read, and, yes, I have grown accustomed to buying my books on my Kindle. I do use the library via Internet and put myself on the list of books to read. The library has an automated email/phone system that lets you know when your book is available. And the library is free!
I also must comment on how wonderful the library is for our children.
I have three children younger than age 5. I have brought all of my children to different Once Upon a Lap pre-school reading classes. Patti is outstanding in her approach to teaching our young ones about reading. They have a wonderful summer reading program that rewards the children with prizes. All of my children know Patti is the “book lady.”
I am so happy to be in a community where my children actually know who their librarian is. I am thankful for living in a community where the library is still an important part of our life.
