Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church hosting decor sale Oct. 20

Susan Winget will hold a Home Decor–Sample Sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 20, at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church, 15000 York Road. Proceeds go to Crisis Assistance Ministry.

For sale will be holiday and everyday dishes, Christmas cards, flags, puzzles, mugs, small gifts, ornaments, rugs, recipe books and more.

Heritage series continues Sunday

The Journey Church at Lake Wylie invites the community to David Barton’s video series, The American Heritage, running Sundays through Nov. 4. The series is appropriate for adults and children ages 12 and older.

The videos will be shown 9:15-10 a.m., with The Journey church service following from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Crowders Creek Elementary School, 5515 Charlotte Hwy.

The series titles and dates they will be shown are as follows:

• Oct. 21: How Pastors Shaped our Independence

Oct. 28: Evidence of America’s Spiritual Heritage

• Nov. 4: The Assault on Judeo-Christian Values

Craft Bazaar will be held Nov. 3

Bible studies held Wednesday

Community Women’s and Grades 1-3 Bible studies is held from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. Wednesdays at River Hills Community Church to share the books of Amos and Isaiah concerning prophecies of Jesus Christ.

CBS is an international Bible study that is nondenominational and unaffiliated with any church, open to all women of all faiths and knowledge levels. The study includes morning devotional, small group discussion of home-study questions and a large group review.

Lake Wylie Lutheran hosts Community Cafe

The Community Cafe offers free weekly lunches from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays at Lake Wylie Lutheran Church, S.C. 160 W. and Gold Hill Road.

Scherer hosts moms

Scherer Presbyterian Church, 4800 Charlotte Hwy., hosts REST4Moms from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. the second Tuesday of the month. Mothers begin the morning with coffee, tea and goodies, followed by topics of interest, crafts, conversation and discussion. Children are treated to crafts, snacks and playtime. Annual cost is $10.
