November 20, 2012

— The River Hills Lions Club’s annual Christmas Tree Sale is under way with Father Christmas expected to visit this week.

The sale, held at the entrance of Camp Thunderbird off S.C. 49, started Monday and runs through Dec. 12, and is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. daily, except Thanksgiving Day.

The trees come the North Carolina mountains. Lion Bob Daily said the first shipment includes 250 trees 6- to 12-feet tall and 110 wreaths 24- to 40 inches. Trees start at $35, and wreaths start at $15. Garland roping and red bows for mailboxes also are for sale.

Daily said the Lions offer free delivery in the River Hills and Lake Wylie area.

Father Christmas will appear on weekends.
