Candy Cane Market open Dec. 1 at York Tech center

The Professional Business Women’s Association of York County is hosting its third annual York County Candy Cane Market from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Dec. 1 at the York Tech Baxter Hood Center.

Stroll through the rows of booths featuring a variety of local vendors, including crafts, artisans, gift stores and home-based businesses.

Free admissions to patrons, festive decorations throughout and proceeds from The Candy Cane Market benefit the PBWA Scholarship Fund.

Friends in Business of Lake Wylie is a local specialty-business networking group that welcomes visitors.

The Lake Wylie Chamber of Commerce annual Holiday Gala will be held from 6:30 p.m. to midnight Dec. 6 at River Hills Country Club.

Learn about auto buying Dec. 11

A free workshop on auto-buying basics will begin at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 11 at the York County Library on Black Street.

Other workshops will be: Understanding Home and Auto Insurance: Jan. 8; Investing with Confidence: Feb. 12; Identity Theft: Who’s got Your Number?: March 12; and Legal Planning for Seniors: April 9.
