Santa’s arrival in downtown Rock Hill postponed

Staff reports

ROCK HILL --

Santa’s been checking this week’s weather forecast, and that means his arrival in Rock Hill will be postponed two days to Thursday.

Weather permitting, 200 kindergarten students will join Mother Goose and the ChristmasVille gnomes to welcome Santa at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the grassy area of Main Street near Dave Lyle Boulevard and the upper Black Street parking deck.

Santa will arrive by helicopter in downtown Rock Hill to greet the children in advance of the seventh annual ChristmasVille festival, which runs Thursday through Sunday.
