Lake Wylie group joins Walk to Stop Diabetes
CHARLOTTE --
Lake Wylie’s Glucose Gladiators team joined more than 1,000 area residents Nov. 3 at the American Diabetes Association’s Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes held at Symphony Park.
Team members were Emily, Ray and Patty Flynn, and Brenda and Steve McElroy.
More than $200,000 was raised and will support the 165,000 people in the central Carolinas who have diabetes by funding research, education programs, and advocacy at work and school.
