— York County Sheriff’s Office detectives on Jan. 2 seized 272 counterfeit Otter Box Defender Series cell phone cases, 11 Mophine Juice Pack Plus cell phone cases and 72 other counterfeit cell phone accessories valued at about $15,000 from a Tega Cay home.

The suspect is age 16, so his name will not be release because he is a juvenile, according to the police report.

The seizure stemmed from an ongoing investigation in counterfeit goods being sold in the York County area.

York County Sheriff’s detectives and fraud investigators with Otter Box discovered the cell phone cases being sold on the website Craig’s List. Investigators set up an undercover buy at a location off Carowinds Boulevard in Fort Mill. The suspect cooperated with detectives and took him to his home where the majority of the counterfeit goods were located.

No charges have been filed at this time and the investigation continues, the report states.
