LAKE WYLIE Advanced Massage & Bodywork will announce the opening of a new studio at River Hills Marina Club with a community grand opening celebration and open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at suite 100, Marina Road.
Owner Robert K. Vincent, a licensed massage and bodywork therapist and American College of Sports Medicine exercise instructor with more than 25 years experience, serves as fitness director for River Hills Country Club.
“I have been working with River Hills members, golf and tennis players, athletes and those interested in maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle,” he said. “There may be a common misconception that therapeutic massage applies only to elite athletes, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Massage benefits everyone – athletes, non-athletes and weekend warriors.”
Vincent opened Advanced Massage and Bodywork in 2008, operating from Lifestyle Physical Therapy in Lake Wylie before relocating to his location at Club Fitness, 11108 S. Tryon St., Steele Creek.
Along with Vincent, Sheri Lynn Stepp, who has been practicing in for more than five years in the Carolinas, will specialize in neuromuscular therapy, Swedish massage, cranial-sacral therapy, pre-natal therapy and Reiki.

Chamber selling charm bracelets
CLOVER The Greater Clover Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the sale of a charm bracelet to mark the 125th anniversary of Clover.
The bracelet is $25, available from the Clover chamber and at Good Things Consignment & More and Siopa on Main, both in downtown Clover. The packaging for the bracelet has a card attached that tells when each of the 10 charms represents.
The bracelets are silver-plated and each charm has a special meaning for the town. The charms represent Clover’s name, an eagle for the home of the Blue Eagles, a Celtic braid for its Scotch-Irish heritage, a key to represent the key to Clover’s heart, a train to make its railroad history, a Palmetto for the state of South Carolina, a ball of yarn for the town’s textile heritage, the clover that grew under the town’s water tank, love to represent “the town with love in the middle” and a 2012 charm to mark the 125th year.
