Golf tourney sponsorships available
ROCK HILL Sponsorships are available for the Family Trust Federal Credit Union’s fourth annual Charity Golf Tournament for the Children’s Attention Home, the Palmetto School at the Children’s Attention Home Charter School, and the Boys & Girls Clubs of York County.
The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. May 21 at the Tega Cay Golf Club on Molokai Drive.
Sponsor levels range from $1,000 to $5,000 and include registration for four. Hole sponsorships start at $100. The deadline is May 3.
Entry fee is $400 per team and includes carts, green fees, beverages and lunch.
The Children’s Attention Home was established in 1970 and provides emergency residential shelter and support services for abused, neglected, and abandoned children from birth through 21 years.
The charter school is open to students in kindergarten through eighth grade who live at the home.
The Boys & Girls Clubs provides afterschool programs in Rock Hill and Fort Mill and camps during the summer and spring break.

Dog training classes to begin
LAKE WYLIE Perfect Pet Dog Training will begin group classes March 23 at the Good Samaritan United Methodist Church, 5220 Crowders Cove Lane. Classes will meet once a week for six weeks and include, AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy, Intro to Canine Sports, Reactive Dog Class and Canine Life and Social Skills.
In addition, a “Hounds on the Town” class begins at 6 p.m. March 21. Meeting once a week for five weeks, this class meets at different locations to work on manners in public, socialization and confidence building.
Alison Pennington of Lake Wylie is the owner and trainer at Perfect Pet Dog Training. She is certified in on and off leash obedience and behavior modification, is a current member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and is a certified American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen evaluator.

LAKE WYLIE Echo Consignment Boutique, an upscale consignment and retail store, is accepting consignments by appointment.
The store will open this month at the Landing Station Shopping Center (Bi-Lo shopping center at S.C. 49 and 274).
Lake Wylie residents Linda Watkins, former owner of Anytime Fitness in Lake Wylie, and Chrissy Pellegrino partnered to open this store because they see a “growing desire for more shopping opportunities in Lake Wylie.”
In addition to brand name women’s and children’s apparel, Echo will also carry specialty lines such as maternity clothing and formal wear, as well as home decor and furnishings.
