Fly a kite

Let’s Go Fly a Kite, 4-5:15 p.m. March 21, Lake Wylie Public Library. Children ages 8-12 can learn the basics of kite-building and, if weather permits, test fly them. Registration required. 803-831-7774

Bluegrass

Allison Creek Bluegrass, 7 p.m. March 21, Allison Creek Church, Highway 274. Bluegrass Inspirations performs. Allison Creek Bluegrass is a family-friendly event on the first and third Thursday of every month at the church. Doors open at 6 p.m., with music from 7 to 9 p.m. Concessions available at 6:30 p.m.

Shag lessons

Peter Rabbit

Peter Rabbit Garden Adventure, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. March 23-24, Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, 6500 S. New Hope Road, Belmont. The loveable and mischievous rabbit from the Beatrix Potter story will visit for a special Easter adventure. In addition to characters from the story, the garden will have live bunnies available for professional photo sessions. Middleton paintings

Egg Classic

The 31st annual Great Easter Egg Classic, 3:15-5:15 p.m. March 28, Cherry Park, Rock Hill. There will be 50,000 Easter eggs spread over the softball fields and will contain hundreds of prizes, ranging from Easter Baskets to candy to Coca-Cola six packs. For children ages 2 to 11.
