LAKE WYLIE — The 2013 Thursday Night Tournament Trail has started.
“The night was miserable with temperatures in the high 30s and rain,” trail co-organizer Erwin Gaston said of the April 4 tournament on Lake Wylie. “We did, however, have 14 teams come out and brave the weather to get the season started.”
Mike Stevens and Hunter Hicks won.
“They proved the weather does not affect the fish with an impressive 19.93-pound bag,” Gaston said.
David Winters took second place with a weight of 18.48 pounds.
The Thursday Night Tournament Trail launches every Thursday evening, with sign-up from 5:30 to 6:20 p.m., at Buster Boyd Access Area through August. Visit lwtt.org for information.
