LAKE WYLIE The 28th annual Clover/Lake Wylie Home and Garden Tour will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 27, sponsored by Clover/Lake Wylie Republican Women’s Club.
This year’s theme is “Living Leisurely in Lake Wylie,” reflecting the homes and gardens featuring designs with room for relaxation, entertainment and recreation.
There will be a $15 per person buffet luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at River Hills Country Club that will include a fashion show.

Golf tourney planned for special needs
TEGA CAY The second annual Fort Mill Open 2013 Special Needs Charity Golf Tournament will be April 26 at Tega Cay Golf Course. Shotgun start at 1 p.m. Lunch and dinner provided with two hole-in-one giveaways, closest to the pin and beat the pro challenges.
Entry fee is $360 for four-person teams and $100 individuals. Additional dinner tickets are $15, adult; $8, children.
Proceeds go to Fort Mill special education and the High Five Club for young adults with disabilities.

Clover Jaycees plan golf tourney
CLOVER The Clover Jaycees will host a golf tournament on May 18 at Green Meadows Golf Club in Mount Holly, N.C. with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Cost is $60 which includes two mulligans and a red tee per person. Lunch and beverage cart, will be provided.
Format is a 2-man captain choice, but golfers will play a four-man total score. All proceeds to benefit local community projects, Jaycee Camp Hope and the building fund.

New 4-H club forming
YORK The Clemson Extension Service York County 4-H will sponsor a new 4-H Community Club at Academy Christian School in Rock Hill. Focus areas for the club will be livestock and gardening projects.
The club will meet after school once a month at the school on 129 Border Road. Wendy Lipe will be the club leader. Interested youth must register as 4-H member with a $10 membership fee and a $1 insurance fee.
