More than 22 teams show support Fishing for a Cure on Lake Wylie

— Thursday Night Tournament Trail organizers Erwin Gaston and Jeremy Cabe held the annual Fishing for a Cure tournament April 5 with 22 teams showing support.

“Friday afternoon brought us clear skies and a bit of warmer weather,” Gaston said of the event that raises money for York County Relay for Life.

“We were able to raise $550 for The American Cancer Society.”

Joey Knight and Jason Bruce brought in a 19.62 bag of large mouth bass to take the win. They also had the biggest fish at 5.69 pounds. Mike Stevens was second with a 18.90 bag.
