Mary Anne Parker and Brian Michael Thomas were united in marriage on April 27, 2013, at 6 o’clock in the evening at Ebenezer Associate Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. J. Allen Derrick. Following the service, a reception was held at Founders Hall.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Britt Parker Jr. of Edgemoor. She is a graduate of Presbyterian College and Queens University, and is employed as a vice president and business services sales officer by Bank of North Carolina in Charlotte.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Raymond Thomas of Alpharetta, Ga. He graduated from the University of Georgia, and is employed as a vice president in the debt capital markets group of the Wells Fargo Securities Investment Bank in Charlotte.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father.
Brittany Parker of Columbia served as her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Shannon Bridges Barnett of Greenville, Carr Wasden Doerre of Charlotte, Mary Alice Parker Lathem of Marietta, Ga., and Margaret Eloise Morris and Lisa Marie Thomas, both of Atlanta.
Readers were Courtney Barron Shelton of Spartanburg and Elizabeth Ann Herring of Mount Pleasant. The greeter was Shaunda Nicole Mack of Fort Mill.
The groom’s brother, Matthew David Thomas of Atlanta, served as best man. Groomsmen included Michael Neil Brenner of Temecula, Calif., Kenneth Ryan Payne of Brentwood, Tenn., Nicholas Adam Turner of Roswell, Ga., and Franklin Thomas Llaneza and Jeremy Thomas Wright, both of Charlotte.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Friday night at Bentley’s on 27 in Charlotte.
After a honeymoon trip to Mexico’s Riviera Maya, the couple will reside in Charlotte.
