Clover schools name three new principals

— Three Clover schools will have new principals next school year.

Bill Pratt, assistant principal at Griggs Road Elementary for the past three years, has been named principal of Bethany Elementary. He replaces Calub Courtwright, who last month was named the new principal of Clover Middle School.

Pratt has 18 years of experience, including 15 years as a teacher and administrator in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.

Lori Maczko, assistant principal at Oakridge Middle School in Lake Wylie for the past four years, will be the principal for third to fifth grades at Crowders Creek Elementary in Lake Wylie.

She has been with the district for seven years, including three years as a teacher at Crowders Creek.

Before joining the Clover School District, Maczko taught for two years at Savannah Grove Elementary in Florence. She joins Georgia Westmoreland at Crowders Creek, who will serve as principal of pre-kindergarten through second grade.

Kim Ramsey, assistant principal at Kinard Elementary for the past two years, has been named principal of Bethel Elementary. She has been in the district for four years, and previously was an assistant principal at Crowders Creek.

Ramsey has 24 years of experience in education, including 18 years as a guidance counselor and administrator in York.

Assistant principal vacancies will be filled later this month, school officials said.
