Children ages birth to sixth grade are invited. There will be crafts, songs, games, Bible stories and a snack.

VBS begins Monday

Pleasant Hill Church, 15000 York Road, Charlotte, will host an “Everywhere Fun Fair” Vacation Bible School Monday, June 24, to Thursday.

The children will “travel” to Japan, Zimbabwe, United Kingdom, Australia and Mexico, where they will experience other cultures while learning about God’s mission for the world and his love.

Dinner will be at 6 p.m. each night and classes will be at 6:20 p.m.

A nursery will be provided for infants and toddlers.

Central Steele Creek Presbyterian Church is holding God’s Backyard Bible Camp Under The Stars June 24-27.

Knights team with Waffle House for HOPE

The Waffle House-Lake Wylie is joining with the Knights of Columbus of All Saints Council No. 14475 to help raise money for Operation HOPE (Helping Other People Everyday), a statewide campaign to help people with intellectual disabilities.

On July 1 from 2 to 9 p.m., and every first Monday of the month, Waffle House will donate 20 percent of its proceeds to Operation HOPE.

Preschool registration open

Christ the King Preschool registration is under way for children ages 2 to 4.

Registration fee costs $125 for all students. three-day class tuition costs $220 per month. Four-day classes cost $250 per month for 3- and 4-year-olds only.

Christ the King Church, 13501 S. Tryon St., is offering Camp Agape 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 5-9 for rising first- through fifth-graders.

Children will play games, sing songs, make crafts, hold nature activities and Bible studies. The cost is $100.

Simulcast set in Steele Creek

LifeWay Christian Resources will host Beth Moore’s “Living Proof Live” simulcast Sept. 14 at Christ the King Church.

Living Proof Live will feature Moore’s storytelling and passionate Bible teaching.

Dove-award winning musical artist Travis Cottrell is slated to lead worship for the event.

Living Proof Live runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Tickets cost $17 online or $20 at the door, and include lunch (guaranteed by early registration).
