• Golf/Tennis runs 9 a.m.-noon July 30-Aug. 1. Cost is $100 for members, $125 for non-members.

CYCLING

Booty ride starts Thursday

24 Hours of Booty Inc. charity cycling event is scheduled to roll on the Myers Park “Booty Loop” at 7 p.m. July 25 to 7 p.m. July 27 when 1,200 participants will be riding and raising money to help fight cancer.

Lupus Foundation event Aug. 26

The Lupus Foundation of America, North Carolina Chapter will be the beneficiary of the 13th annual Links for Lupus Golf Tournament on Aug. 26.

Presented by Little Diversified Architectural Consulting, the Links for Lupus Golf Tournament will be held at Cedarwood Country Club, 4100 Pineville-Matthews Road.

Registration kicks off at 11 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. and dinner reception at 5:30 p.m. All players will receive lunch and dinner, beverages during play, official tournament gift, goodie bag and a team photograph. Prizes awarded for first-third in low net and low gross categories.

Wylie team takes on Pinewood CC

Final results from the Carolinas Golf Association’s Senior Four-Ball Tournament July 16 at Pinewood Country Club in Asheboro, N.C., included a Lake Wylie team.

In Tournament Division-Flight B, Jim Schilling and Harold Fisher, both of Lake Wylie, finished 41-39-80 for eighth.

Mystery Ball Night Aug. 31

Hospitality House Of Charlotte, a nonprofit organization providing lodging to families of patients receiving medical treatment, has announced it will partner with the Charlotte Knights for its third annual Mystery Ball Night at the Knights Stadium, 228 Deerfield Drive, on Aug. 31 at 7:15 p.m. in a game against the Gwinnett Braves. This is the last Saturday game to be held in the Fort Mill Stadium and will be followed by fireworks.

Fans will have the opportunity to purchase baseballs autographed by a major or minor league player for $10 each, with the mystery being which player signed the chosen ball. Gates will open at 6 p.m. and early arrival is encouraged, as a limited number of signed balls will be available for purchase. Fans also will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for $5 each for the chance to win a $250 US Airways travel gift card.

Game tickets cost $13 each for ages 2 and older and can be ordered through Hospitality House of Charlotte by visiting hospitalityhouseofcharlotte.org/event.asp. A portion of each ticket sold through the Hospitality House of Charlotte website will be donated to the organization, and participants will be entered to win a chance to throw the first pitch at the Aug. 31 game.

Charlotte Knights fans can purchase tickets online only to the following games:

• Final Regular Season Game at Knights Stadium – Monday, Sept. 2.

• All 10 Flashback Friday Games – Knights will commemorate 24 seasons at Knights Stadium with a series of promotions and giveaways.
