Barbecue served Saturday in Belmont
BELMONT The Belmont Historical Society, 40 Catawba St., is sponsoring a barbecue fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, July 27.
Plates cost $8 and include Kyle Fletcher’s barbecue, slaw, chips, Little Debbie snack, two buns and sauce.
Music will be provided by the Elks Academy from 2 to 5 p.m.
Deliveries are available for orders of six or more.
Lake Wylie Luau tickets available
LAKE WYLIE Lake Wylie Rotary Club will hold its third annual Lake Wylie Luau on Sept. 7 at a new location, Red Fez Club’s outdoor pavilion in Steele Creek on Lake Wylie.
Tickets cost $30 in advance, or $35 at the door, and include music, food, wine and beer, plus door prizes.
Sponsors and silent auction items are wanted. Proceeds go to Clover Area Assistance Center Full Choice Pantry Initiative, and other programs.

Sweet Repeat welcomes
LAKE WYLIE Sweet Repeat Charitable Foundation has welcomed 25 new members this year and is looking for more.
Volunteers are needed for two to six hours a month to work at the Sweet Repeat Shop at Lake Wylie Plaza behind Fred’s.
