Lupus Foundation event Monday

The Lupus Foundation of America, North Carolina Chapter, will be the beneficiary of the 13th annual Links for Lupus Golf Tournament on Monday, Aug. 26.

The Links for Lupus Golf Tournament will be held at Cedarwood Country Club, 4100 Pineville-Matthews Road.

Registration kicks off at 11 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. and dinner reception at 5:30 p.m.

Sheriff’s tourney Sept. 16

The Sheriff’s Foundation of York County will hold the seventh annual Invitational Golf Tournament Sept. 16 at the Springfield Golf Club in Fort Mill.

Proceeds have provided $29,000 in scholarship money to York County students. Also this year, $1,600 will be used to purchase backpacks for York County students.

Money raised also will benefit safety patrol programs and provide financial support for Boy Scout Explorer Post 1786,

Sponsorships at all levels and donations for door prizes are needed.

Team slots will be available on a first come, first serve basis. The deadline to register is Sept. 3.

Sign up for conditioning, league camps

Formerly Lake Wylie Pop Warner football and cheer have joined with Clover Co-Op to become D2 Blue Eagles.

There will be free sports conditioning camp from 4 to 6 p.m. Sundays at Griggs Road Elementary School open to all children. They do not have to be part of D2 for Camp.

Costs is $100 for football or cheer; discounts for multiple children and financial aid available.

Season CHS football tickets available

Season football ticket packages are available at Clover High School.

Season ticket packages include:

Eagle Club: $114, two reserved season tickets, one reserved parking pass, seat preference same as last year, $84.

Gray Eagle Club: $198, four reserved tickets, one reserved parking pass.

Blue Eagle Club: $282, six reserved tickets, two reserved parking passes.

Membership packages include jayvee and ninth-grade games.

Mystery Ball Night Aug. 31

Hospitality House Of Charlotte, a nonprofit organization providing lodging to families of patients receiving medical treatment, has announced it will partner with the Charlotte Knights for its third annual Mystery Ball Night at the Knights Stadium, 228 Deerfield Drive, on Aug. 31 at 7:15 p.m. in a game against the Gwinnett Braves. This is the last Saturday game to be held in the Fort Mill Stadium and will be followed by fireworks.

Adult rec league signups

Belmont Parks & Recreation Department is holding registration for adult soccer through Aug. 30.

The registration team fee is $325 out of city, $275 in city. The individual fee is $40 out of city, $35 in city. Signups will be taken at the recreation department.
