— A 16-year-old boy at Clover’s Blue Eagle Academy was arrested by Clover police last week after being accused of assaulting another boy, 14, in a school bathroom, police said.

Police were called to the alternative school program on Friday, when the victim reported the older student “punched him multiple times” in the bathroom, a report said.

The victim also said the suspect hit him on the side of the head, above his ear, and punched him in the stomach, but the victim was able to block those punches, the report said.

The names of the students are not being published because they are juveniles.

The victim provided a written statement describing the events. The suspect told police that the victim “got what he deserved, and he had it coming,” according to the report.

The suspect was issued a summons for assault and battery and released to his grandfather, because the student’s mother was out of town, police said. No photos were taken because no injuries were visible, the report said.
