Carol Butler of Lake Wylie found a cluster of jack-o-lantern mushrooms growing in her yard. The gills on the underside of the mushroom are one sign the mushroom is poinsonous. Bustler said if you slice the stem of the mushroom and see a yellow fleshy color, then they are the poisonous jack-o-lantern mushroom. She promptly dug them up.
