Reeling for raptors

October 20, 2013

— Gaston Day School ninth-graders James Anthony, Ryan Blalock and Jacob Moore decided to use their love of fishing to benefit birds at the Carolina Raptor Center in Huntersville, N.C.

The center is in need of whole fish, so the boys decided to catch fish and take them to the center.

When they arrived, they were allowed to get in close contact with bald eagles being rehabilitated there.

The trio has decided to donate fresh fish once a month to the center.

James is the son of Edward and Annie Anthony. Ryan is the son of Robert and Julie Blalock. Jacob is the son of Tommy and Michelle Moore.
