A woman injured in a wreck Monday morning in north Charlotte has died of her injuries, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

Investigators say they want to talk to a “person of interest” in the case, and they have released a photo of that man.

Noelle Nadine Chiara Dixon, 22, died Wednesday afternoon at Carolinas Medical Center. She was seriously injured in the crash, which was reported about 11:30 a.m. Monday on North Tryon Street near Interstate 485.

Police say Dixon was driving a 1994 Acura Integra and was northbound. According to police, the Acura slid across the median and into the southbound lanes, where it struck a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer driven by a 42-year-old woman.

Both vehicles went off the road, police say. The Blazer’s driver suffered minor injuries.

“During the course of the investigation, a person of interest has been identified and needs to be interviewed,” police Sgt. David Sloan said.

Police have not said what information they are seeking from the man, but they ask that anyone with information contact detectives at 704-432-2169 or leave information with Crime Stoppers, 704-334-1600.
