A joint operation by Charlotte-Mecklenburg police and the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office has ended with the arrest of a man who is accused of being involved with child pornography.

Jeremy Houston Bruce, 32, who lives in the eastern part of Iredell County, was arrested last week, the Sheriff’s Office said. He was charged with five counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Investigators said federal charges are anticipated.

Iredell County authorities say they were contacted by the State Bureau of Investigation on Nov. 7 and asked to help in an ongoing CMPD investigation into child pornography. An Iredell detective and CMPD investigators searched Bruce’s residence on Eight Point Drive on Nov. 8.

Detectives found several images and videos of children in sexually explicit conduct with adults, according to authorities. Several computers were seized, detectives said.
