Monroe police investigating homicide of 62-year-old man

The Monroe Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding the person who killed Jimmie Taylor, 62.

Authorities responded to an apartment at 2511 Riverside Lane on Saturday in reference to a death investigation after family members called police.

When they arrived, police found Taylor dead inside his apartment from an apparent gunshot wound.

The Monroe Police Department along with the State Bureau of Investigations and the Union County district attorney’s office are investigating this crime.
