Rotary holiday drop-in Thursday

The Lake Wylie Rotary Club will have a drop-in for members, potential members and other Rotarians from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at the David Weekley Model Home, Cottages at The Landing.

There will be beverages and snacks. For more information, call 803-517-2190.

The rotary club meets at noon Tuesdays at Good Samaritan United Methodist Church, 5220 Crowders Cove Lane. The weekly buffet-style lunch costs $9. The public is invited. Visit lwrotaryclub.org for more information.

Lions hosting holiday events

The River Hills Lions Club is hosting several holiday events.

• Tree sales, wreaths and bows are for sale at Camp Thunderbird. Proceeds go to Lions Club Charities.

• The Lions will host a Pancake Breakfast with Father Christmas on Saturday, Dec. 14, at Camp Thunderbird dining hall. Other activities include pony rides and more for children.

AAL holding Love Lights Saturday in Rock Hill

The Animal Adoption League will sponsor its 20th annual Love Lights Luminarias from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at the pond in front of the Lakeview Acres Neighborhood on Celanese Road.

AAL will light a luminaria in honor or in memory of a special person or pet for a donation of $4 per luminaria. Upon request an acknowledgment card will be sent for an additional $1 per luminaria. Rain date is Dec.15.

Choraliers to perform at Dec. 18 club meeting

The River Hill’s Women’s Club will meet Dec. 18 at River Hills Country Club. Social time begins at noon and lunch is served at 12:30 p.m.

The Clover High School Choraliers, led by Jay Forest, will will perform holiday music.

Humane Society store open

Christmas store with proceeds from sales benefiting the Humane Society of York County is open through Dec. 18 at 2000 S.C. 160 West, suite 112, beside the Towne Tavern.

Hours are 1-5 p.m. Thursdays, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 1-5 p.m. Sundays.
