No students hurt in collision involving CMS bus

No students were injured Tuesday morning in a collision involving a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools bus in northeast Charlotte, police said.

The collision was reported about 7:25 a.m. in the 10800 block of Plaza Road Extension, a short distance east of W.T. Harris Boulevard.

A spokeswoman for CMS said Bus 1684 was carrying 29 students and the driver, headed for Reedy Creek Elementary School.

A spokesman for Medic said one person was taken to CMC University Hospital with minor injuries.

The CMS spokeswoman said nobody aboard the bus was hurt.
