Observer holiday store open Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, the Observer will have various books and posters available for sale in the holiday store in the lobby of the building at 600 S. Tryon St. Among the items for sale will be “I’m So Clever,” complete with 450 frugal tips compiled from the Saturday Observer column.

Still looking for a great gift idea? Swing by The Charlotte Observer’s lobby between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday to browse our holiday store and meet authors Kathleen Purvis, Scott Fowler and Ken Garfield.

Purvis will sell her “Pecans” and “Bourbon” books, Fowler his “100 Things Panther Fans Should Know and Do Before They Die,” and Garfield will have “Billy Graham: A Life in Pictures” available.

In addition, the Observer will have for sale “I’m So Clever,” complete with 450 frugal tips compiled from the Saturday Observer column, as well as posters on topics ranging from Dale Earnhardt to the Biltmore Estate.
