E. Charlotte apartment fire displaces 26 people

A fire broke out at the Country Club Apartments on Dunlavin Way about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.

An overnight fire struck an East Charlotte apartment complex.

The three-alarm fire at the Country Club Apartments in the 2400 block of Dunlavin Way broke out around 11:30 p.m.

The American Red Cross said the fire displaced 26 people in eight units, and it has a volunteer disaster team responding to help.

Authorities said no one was hurt, according to WCNC-TV.
