Gather around the bonfire Christmas Eve in Lake Wylie

Relevant Church will host “Christmas: Unplugged” at 5:30 p.m. Christmas Eve in a field at 6124 Lake Wylie Road.

Anoyone who wants a night of carols, candles and communion is invited to gather around the bonfire to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Bundle up, bring a lawn chair, and enjoy hot chocolate and hot apple cider.

Allison Creek posts 2 Christmas Eve services

Christmas Eve services at Allison Creek Presbyterian, 5780 Allison Creek Road, will be held at 5 p.m. for family service with Holy Communion. Children will be invited to participate.

There also will be an 11 p.m. service with readings.

River Hills church posts Christmas services

River Hills Community Church, 104 Hamilton’s Ferry Road, offers three opportunities for worship on Christmas Eve.

The 4 p.m. service is for families with children and tells the story of Jesus’ birth through a traditional nativity pageant.

The 7:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. services will offer the singing of favorite carols, along with the celebration of Holy Communion and the traditional lighting of candles closing with “Silent Night.”

Dine Mondays

for HOPE

The Waffle House-Lake Wylie and Knights of Columbus of All Saints Council No. 14475 are raising money for Operation HOPE (Helping Other People Everyday), a statewide campaign to help people with intellectual disabilities.

On the first Monday of each month, Waffle House will donate 20 percent of its proceeds to Operation HOPE.

Community Cafe serves lunch Tuesdays

The Community Cafe offers free weekly lunches 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesdays at Lake Wylie Christian Assembly.

The Cafe at Lake Wylie Lutheran Church in Fort Mill serves lunch 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
