...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR EAST CENTRAL MECKLENBURG AND CABARRUS COUNTIES UNTIL 400 PM EST...

AT 317 PM EST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM CONCORD TO EASTLAND MALL...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT LOCATIONS NEAR...

AT 300 PM EST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM I-85 AT HIGHWAY 73 TO 6 MILES NORTH OF RICHBURG...MOVING EAST AT 40 MPH.

SHOULD MONITOR THE WEATHER SITUATION CLOSELY. LISTEN FOR POSSIBLE WARNINGS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION SHOULD SEVERE WEATHER THREATEN.

WIND GUSTS OF 40 TO 50 MPH...AND TORRENTIAL RAINFALL ARE EXPECTED WITH THESE STORMS.
