Police investigate uptown shooting

A man was injured in an uptown shooting Friday night near the N.C. Dance Theatre.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers responded to a call to North Tryon and West 10th streets.

The man who was shot was taken to a hospital and released Friday night, said CMPD Capt. Nelson Bowling. He did not have further information about possible suspects or a motive for the incident.
