— Six teenagers were cited for underage drinking at a Fort Mill home early last week after deputies learned one of the teenage girls assaulted her father when he picked her up from the party, authorities say.

At about 11:30 p.m. Jan. 1, deputies were sent to a Knightswood Road home, in the Knightsbridge subdivision, after a Tega Cay police officer reported possible underage drinking at the house, according to a York County Sheriff’s report. The policeman had arrested a teenage girl who allegedly assaulted her father because he picked her up from the party. Deputies got directions to the house from the girl’s mother.

Once they arrived, deputies watched the teens drink alcohol through a back door, the report states. A sergeant knocked on the front door, while two deputies watched through the back door as the teens grabbed the liquor bottles and scurried upstairs. After about 10 minutes of knocking and yelling for the teens to come out the house, a neighbor walked out her house and called the homeowner, who was out of town.

The homeowner told deputies her daughter was home and that she got rid of the alcohol in the house before she left, the report states. The mother called her daughter, who allowed deputies inside. Deputies found six teens. They told deputies they had been drinking. They were all cited as minors in possession of liquor.

Brooke Williams, the homeowner’s 18-year-old daughter who hosted the party, was arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. As of Thursday, she was being held at the York County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
