Rock Hill and York schools on Monday announced makeup days after last week’s winter storm caused icy roads and kept students out of class for two days.

Rock Hill school district officials picked March 24 as its first makeup date for missed time. The other date will be announced later.

York school district students will make up classes on Feb. 17 and March 12.

By law, all South Carolina schools are required to have three potential makeup days built into their schedules.

Other districts had previously announced these makeup dates:

•  Clover school district (1 day to make up) – Feb. 17

•  Chester County school district (2 days to make up) – Feb. 17 will be a half-day, the other day is yet to be determined.

Fort Mill and Lancaster County schools have yet to announce any makeup days. Fort Mill has one day to make up and possible dates are Feb. 14, Feb. 17 and March 21. Lancaster County has two days to make up. Those possible dates are Feb. 17, March 17 and April 14-16.
