CLOVER — Members of the Clover Jaycees and the local chapter received awards Feb. 1, during the 2013 Jaycees state convention in Rock Hill.
The Clover Jaycees chapter received the Ramon Schwartz Award, ranking as the No. 1 Jaycees chapter in the state. The group also won an award for Outstanding Chapter, with 2013 year-to-date growth up 18 members. The group’s accomplishments include making a $2,400 donation to Camp Hope.
Clover Jaycees president Matthew Readett received several awards, including the John D. Every Memorial Award; the Marshall Dan Taft Jr. Memorial Award; the Robert A. Ashmore Outstanding Local President of the Year; and the JCI Senate No. 72988 and Triple Crown No. 145.

• Second half of year awards were: Outstanding Local President, Matthew Readett; Outstanding Junior Jaycee, Emma Brown; Outstanding Local Vice President, Tamara Hartman; Outstanding Rookie, Morgan Stewart and Dale Johnston; Outstanding Community Project, Santa Sleigh; Outstanding Membership Project, Fall Festival & Car Show; Outstanding Individual Development Project, Kids Halloween Day
• Year-end awards were: Outstanding Junior Jaycee, Emma Brown; Helping Hand, Lesa Jenkins; Outstanding Local Officer, April Readett; Outstanding Local Vice President, Cassie Wine; Outstanding Membership Project, Chili Cook-Off; and Outstanding Community Project, Santa Sleigh.
Represented at the event were Jaycees from Clover, Rock Hill, Cayce, West Columbia, Newberry, Greenwood, Laurens, Whitmire, Columbia, Belvedere, Charleston, Sumter, Spartanburg and Greenville.
