Coldwell Banker MECA opens offices in Belmont

Belmont is now the home of real estate offices Coldwell Banker Commercial MECA and Coldwell Banker MECA Realty. Both are located on Catawba Street.

The Montcross Area and Gaston Regional chambers of commerce recently held a grand opening event. Allison Cottingham and Freda Hall of Reflection Properties in Belmont announced joining Coldwell Banker MECA Realty.

The new businesses were formed by the merger of MECA Properties of Charlotte with Coldwell Banker of Gaston County and Clay Realty Advisors of McAdenville.

Rob Pressley leads the commercial business, and his brother Andy Pressley leads the residential business. Principals in Coldwell Banker Commercial MECA are Bob Clay and Eric Clay, who is broker-in-charge at the Belmont office. Matthew Hanks is broker-in-charge at the Belmont office of Coldwell Banker MECA Realty.

Texa Roadhouse opening celebration Thursday

The York County Regional Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a ribbon cutting for Texas Roadhouse at noon Thursday, March 27, at 2367 Dave Lyle Blvd.

Family Trust announces promotions, reassignments

Erica Jackson has been promoted to assistant vice president of branch administration at Family Trust Federal Credit Union, where other managers have been promoted or reassigned, said Tyeshia Miller, senior vice president of member services.

Jackson, previously manager of the Family Trust branch on Albright Road, will be responsible for daily branch operations, six branch managers and branch sales management. She graduated from Winthrop University in 2004 with a business degree, and in 2006 with a master’s degree in business.

Tina Farris has been promoted to manager of the Clover branch. She received an associate’s degree in business management and a certificate in human resources from York Technical College.

Diane Teigue will be assistant manager of the Clover branch. A 1979 graduate of the U.S. Army Finance School, she has more than 30 years of financial experience.

Marieta Moore has been promoted to assistant manager at the Dave Lyle Boulevard branch. She received a general studies degree from Colorado Technical University in 2011, and is pursuing a degree in business administration from Columbia Southern University.

Renee Barnes will manage the branch on Albright Road. She graduated in 1993 with a degree in retail management from the University of South Carolina, and received certification from the Southeastern Regional Credit Union School in 2012.

Cathie Sherer will manage the branch on Ebenezer Road. She graduated from Winthrop in 1998 with a finance degree, and also received certification from SRCUS.

Farmers market seeks vendors

The Market at Inman Farms is accepting vendor registrations for the second season to start May 10.

The market is open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through mid-October.

Vendors must meet homegrown and handmade product criteria. Vendor space is free, but limited. Vendors wanted include those selling local produce; fermented, pickled and staple foods that meet guideline standards; flowers, plants and herbs; soaps, candles and pottery; and other artisan and agriculture items. Nonprofits, Scouts and church groups are invited to participate with fundraisers.

In addition to the weekly Saturday market, there will be a Mid Week Market offered for a trial time from 1 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays in May.

Windy Hill open weekends starting in April

Windy Hill Orchard & Cidery in York will be opening for weekends in April and May.

This is the first year the orchard will be open to the public in spring. The outdoor cider bar will be open for tastings of the award-winning hard ciders Saturday and Sunday.
