LAKE WYLIE — The new season for the Thursday Night Tournament Trail began April 3.
“We had a very good turnout for the opening night of the season,” said Erwin Gaston who organizes the trail with Jeremy Cabe. “For a few anglers, the fish bite was pretty good.”
Brothers Ron and Roger Farrow won with a five-fish limit weighing 20.05 pounds out of 49 boats.
The team of David Quinn and Blake West weighed in a limit that tip the scale at 17.54 pounds to take second place.
“Lake Wylie’s water temperature has risen to 64 degrees and the bass are moving shallow,” Gaston said.
The weekly Thursday Night Tournament Trail continues with registration at 5:15 p.m. at Buster Boyd Access Area. Blast-off is at 6:30 p.m. Entry fee costs $40 per boat.
