If you’re walking the streets of Charlotte on Wednesday, you might become part of the city’s Internet history.

A Google Maps Street View car and its panoramic camera were spotted at the intersection of Colony and Fairview roads in the SouthPark area on Wednesday afternoon.

The cars take millions of photos to create a 3-D model of the cities they travel for Google Maps.

It’s unclear when the last time a Google Street View car was in Charlotte, but it appears to be in late summer 2012. Its map shows the American Presidential Experience exhibit at Third and Mint streets uptown, which was on display in August and September 2012.
